Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports production by installing, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, performing repairs, completing shift work orders, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with management and engineering.
Job Duties
- Ensure continuous and smooth production through intermediate level troubleshooting and repairs.
- Perform unscheduled repairs and planned maintenance activities.
- Accurately document and complete paperwork for tracking, auditing, and inventory purposes.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures.
- Collaborate with Machine Operators to determine required adjustments or repairs.
- Provide input and recommendations for process improvements.
- Attend daily meetings and escalate issues as necessary.
- Follow safety procedures and rules, maintain a clean work area, and monitor for cross-contamination.

Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility, production floor.
- Frequent exposure to wet, dusty, and humid conditions, heat, and cold.
- Frequent exposure to noise from moving mechanical parts.
- Physical demands: lifting up to 75 pounds, standing for up to 8 hours, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, seeing, talking, and hearing.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours with breaks.
- Must be able to use hands for handling, feeling, selecting objects, gripping, reaching, bending, twisting, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, adjusting focus, working in high temperatures, working at heights, and working around strong magnets.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Regular and reliable attendance required.
- Basic mathematics skills and reading/writing ability required.
- Basic computer skills and experience from a work or home environment preferred but not required; willing and open to learning on the production floor.
- Prior Manufacturing / Industrial experience preferred, with high preference for food / bakery experience.
- One year of prior maintenance/mechanic (Industrial/manufacturing) experience or training is required, preferably with processing and/or packaging equipment.
- Electrical and Electrical Motor experience is preferred.
- Able to work night shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- Able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities without losing composure.
- Able to follow all Food Safety and Safety Procedures and Rules, including wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following all proper LOTO requirements.
- Able to comprehend and communicate with all levels of the team, including management, maintenance, sanitation, and co-workers.
- Able to perform duties accurately with attention to detail, follow direction, and participate as a team player or individually.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving ability.
Benefits
Starting wage of $26.73+ per hour (depending on experience), plus a night shift differential.
Schedule
Night Shift: 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 schedule (M-Sun)
