Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair packaging area process and infrastructure equipment.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain process equipment, apparatus, fixtures, etc. using hand tools, power tools and test equipment.
- Work with Electrical and Automation Technicians and other employees to maintain the equipment and optimize processes.
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and drive equipment improvements.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma plus 1 to 3 years of trades training in industrial maintenance or other technical discipline.
- An AAS degree in robotics, industrial maintenance or technology is desired, but not required.
- Requires 3 to 5 years of experience relating to electrical repairs, programmable logic controls, and wiring in an industrial setting.
- A complete commitment to personal and coworker safety and adherence to rules and procedures is expected.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematic and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, saws, machine tools, and welding equipment.
- Requires good knowledge of the process equipment and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Requires the ability to work in confined spaces.
- Requires good oral communication skills to effectively deal with coworkers.
