Maintenance Technician - New Property (Fort Worth)

What Your Day Consists Of

• Prepare make-ready apartments
• Complete service requests
• Perform common area maintenance
• Maintain inventory and shop organization
• Participate in preventative maintenance program
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs

What You Bring To Us

• A high school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in apartment maintenance or a trade requiring basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC (preferred)
• Applicable certifications including EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO (required)
• A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (required)
• Own basic set of hand tools (required)
• Able to read service requests, schedules, and regularly converse with team members, residents, and vendors in English (required)
• Basic computer skills (required)
• Able to adhere to set and variable work schedules, including weekends and emergencies as required (required)
• Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices (required)
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships (required)
• Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere (required)
• Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than “home” property (required)
• Able to travel within major metropolitan areas and may be required to attend company functions in other cities (required)
• Able to respond to emergency calls outside of normal business hours (required)

• Work is performed throughout residential apartment communities, including occupied units, vacant apartments, exterior grounds, and maintenance areas
• Position regularly involves exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, power tools, and moving mechanical equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Requires frequent physical activity including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces
• Regularly lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls tools, appliances, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds
• Position involves exposure to varying weather conditions, maintenance equipment, chemicals, and other environmental conditions associated with property maintenance operations
