About the role

Qualified candidates will service and troubleshoot production and support equipment within our plant, working independently or as part of a team. This position includes project support, preventive, and predictive maintenance. You will follow and support all company safety procedures, performing all work in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, light tool work, repairs, and part replacements on mechanical equipment such as presses, sanders, and conveyor systems.
  • Apply working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and welding.
  • Understand and apply appropriate safety procedures and practices.
  • Use problem-solving techniques for complex situations.
  • Read blueprints, job data sheets, and safety instructions.
  • Work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems (PLC programming experience is a bonus).
  • Work with 240V and 480V 3-phase and 110V AC/DC systems.
  • Document daily issues through written, email, and verbal communication.
  • Climb and use ladders, work comfortably in high areas using aerial platforms.
  • Carry or maneuver 50+ pounds.
  • Twist, bend, stoop, or stand for long periods.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Requirements

  • Vocational degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Dependable and responsible with a positive work attitude.
  • Able to work overtime when mandated (may be short notice at times).
  • Able to be “on call” when needed (including weekends).
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software.
