Maintenance Technician (Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials)

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment and performing maintenance activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), corrective repairs, and equipment improvement projects.
  • Accurately document all preventive maintenance, repairs, and project work in the Movex maintenance management system.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble production equipment using a variety of hand and specialty tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and equipment layouts.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all required documentation.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a positive attitude while supporting plant operations.
  • Assist with additional maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 480-volt motor controls and industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Worked knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably Movex.
  • Demonstrated skills in mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, hydraulics, welding/soldering, and basic machining.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, or the ability to become certified.
  • Strong computer proficiency and basic mathematical skills.
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and time management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at heights using elevated work platforms and in varying temperatures, noise levels, and other manufacturing conditions.

Preferred

  • Technical or trade school degree or certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Industrial maintenance certifications or relevant equipment training.

Pay

The salary for this position starts at $26.49. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
