MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / MILLWRIGHT (SETUP CREW)

About the role

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. Established in 1908, RGI is the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. This position is for a Maintenance Technician / Millwright on the regional heavy maintenance and setup crew serving Columbia Quarry and surrounding quarries. The role requires a strong background in welding, fabrication, and fixed plant repair with a commitment to safety excellence. Millwright experience — metal fabrication, cutting, and machinery repair — is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing fixed plant repairs
• Recommending plant improvements
• Diagnosing and repairing mobile heavy equipment
• Assisting with various production duties as needed

Requirements

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
• At least 1 year of previous professional welding experience required — emphasis on MIG and stick welding
• Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience required
• Mechanic experience in diagnosing and repairing mobile heavy equipment required
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
• Self‑motivated; able to perform required duties independently without constant supervision
• Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary
• Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
• May be called upon at the discretion of management to perform any other duties assigned and/or assist other areas as necessary

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in steel erection/destruction — fabricating, cutting, fitting, and welding
• Experience working with crushers, conveyors, and screens
• Previous mining, quarry, or maintenance experience

Pay

Wages starting at $25.00/hr, based on experience. Annual performance‑based merit increases.

Schedule

• Full‑time, day shift
• Some night or weekend work may be required
• Overtime, weekends, and nights as necessary
• Work across multiple quarry locations: Columbia, Pottsville, Lewisburg, Lawrenceburg, Pulaski, TN River, Delaney Loop, Hickman, Burns, Rutherford Co., and Deason
