Maintenance Technician/Mechanic -6:30p - 7a

Essential Job Duties

• Perform welding fabrication including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Must be proficient with MIG, TIG, Stick, cutting torches, grinders, drills, and working with metal, pipe, and flat iron.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery including pumps, gearboxes, augers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, filling machines and sealers.
• Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single phase circuitry.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Replace or repair defective equipment and parts.
• Perform minor building repair and upkeep.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery.
• Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Able to be fit tested and don a mask.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
