Maintenance Technician - Masonry

About the role

Birgo is a mission-driven apartment management company dedicated to improving lives through real estate. We're bringing masonry work in-house and need a Floating Maintenance Technician who specializes in Masonry. This full-time, year-round position will float to any of our 14 communities in North Tonawanda, Buffalo, Hamburg, and Lockport. Outside of masonry, this person will turn over units and complete work orders in apartments.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Develop in-house masonry capabilities
• Perform skilled exterior and structural work, including brick repair, tuckpointing, and waterproofing
• Turnovers/make-readies
• In-unit repairs such as drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or HVAC
• Other duties as identified to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal, reliable mode of transportation
• Lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
• Safely utilize power tools
• Work in confined spaces; ascend and descend ladders and staircases

Skills

• Brick repointing
• Well-rounded skill set in building maintenance
