About the role
Greystar is a leading real estate platform managing and operating over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally. This Maintenance Technician position is located in Annapolis, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Follows procedures for accessing and returning materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the maintenance department.
- Documents and tracks service requests in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Maintains the grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and practicing proper tool usage.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards are met.
Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required.
- Work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).
Pay
The hourly range for the position is $23.00 - $25.00. Additional compensation includes participation in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance, and various benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid time off, housing discounts, sabbaticals, 401(k) with company match, parental leave, fertility benefit reimbursement, and an employee assistance program.
