Maintenance Technician, Madison WI
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician at A1 Garage Door, you will handle our Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups. Your responsibilities include completing garage door inspections, following a checklist, making call-back visits when necessary, and educating customers on their door and findings from the inspection.

Basic Requirements
- Be nice!
- Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
- Passes a pre-employment drug test (excluding THC) and criminal background check
- Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc., as well as tablet and computer use
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- GED or HS diploma not required, but reading skills and basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required
- Professional appearance
- Current eligibility to legally work in the United States
The Journey
To become a Maintenance Technician, you must complete a 4-week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ. During this time, A1 covers flights and accommodations, and you will work 45-50 hours a week, qualifying for overtime for hours over 40 in a week. Upon completion, you will receive a $1,000 bonus and graduate to a junior maintenance technician position, performing duties in and around your market.
