Maintenance Technician (MT)
The Maintenance Technician (MT) is responsible for:
- Performs maintenance on automated production machinery to reduce equipment downtime and meet production schedules.
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance as required to ensure equipment availability.
Position reports to a Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Works in a safe manner and is trained in all appropriate plant safety programs.
- Performs equipment relocations, crating or uncrating of parts, mechanical adjustments and alignments, identifying and ordering of spare parts, documenting all work, clean-up before leaving job, attending relevant training and meetings.
- Participates in projects and upgrades.
- Understanding of technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of machining techniques/processes including manual milling, turning, grinding, welding.
- Knowledge of machining techniques/processes including manual milling, turning, grinding, welding, CNC machine setup, programming, and operation.
- Mold shop personnel: Knowledge of mold repair, teardown, assembly, and cleaning.
- Learning Mold Shop equipment and mold maintenance methods.
Job Requirements
- Minimum HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Technical Associates degree (2 year) preferred.
- Preferred 3 years of applicable experience/demonstrated skill required.
- Required 2 years as a Production Technician or Auxiliary.
- Must have experience with basic hand tools.
- Must be able to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, knowledge of hydraulics preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Work effectively under stressful conditions.
- Work with limited supervision.
Physical/Safety Requirements
- Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to stand and work at two-hour minimum intervals.
- Work in tight spaces.
- Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Pay
The estimated base salary for this position is $46,464 - $69,696 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
