Full-time position, 40-hour basic work week. This position offers a Trainee Status at $24.34/hour.

About the Role

Performs technical maintenance and repair to infrastructure, facilities, and utility systems at the Pease Air National Guard Base.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical repair and maintenance of the base-wide heating systems to include heat pumps, domestic hot water systems, satellite boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as water softeners, pumps, and control valves.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs various coils used in HVAC applications such as direct exchange coils, heat coils, heat exchangers, and condensers.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of 5 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment used in buildings.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must satisfactorily undergo a State Police records check.
• Must be in good physical condition with normal strength and agility to perform actions such as lifting, bending, and climbing stairs/ladders.
• Must report to job site or be on standby during emergency situations (e.g., snow, inclement weather, or building emergencies), as this position is designated as Essential Personnel. Overtime in support of snow removal operations is mandatory.
• Must pass a National Agency Check (NAC) to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) within 12 months of hire and be eligible for renewal as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Each additional year of approved formal education may substitute for one year of required work experience, and vice versa.
• Candidates with an equivalent combination of 4+ years of relevant education and experience after high school may be considered and hired in trainee status.

Pay

$25.40/hour – $34.14/hour
