Maintenance Technician IV

Key Responsibilities

• Leads complex maintenance and tune-up projects on HVAC equipment
• Diagnostics and provides solutions for advanced HVAC issues
• Mentors junior technicians and assists in their training
• Manages customer relations and provides expert HVAC advice
• Works independently to perform routine precision tune-ups and maintenance
• Conducts diagnostics to identify potential problems
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning
• Records all required information on customer call
• Communicates with dispatch to ensure accurate status report
• Promotes products and services to the customer
• Collects payment from customers
• Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically
• Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications/Skills

• High school diploma or GED; advanced technical training
• 5-10 years of HVAC maintenance experience
• Required licensing and certifications, including EPA and safety certifications
• Advanced knowledge and skills in HVAC systems
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment
• Proficient and able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projects
• Basic skills in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems
• Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and resolve issues
• Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skills
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts
• Ability to safely climb ladders and maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
