Maintenance Technician in Wesley Chapel, FL
About the role
The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companies' community offices in Wesley Chapel, FL.
Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards.
- Expertly troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and make solutions with a customer service attitude.
- Could include but are not limited to repairs in areas such as HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.
Qualifications
- Universal EPA certification is a plus!
- Experience as a maintenance technician for at least 1 year preferred
- Strong work ethic and an eager-to-learn attitude
- Aptitude for apartment housing experience
- Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing & HVAC
- Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented to complete work orders
- Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights/weekends and emergency-on-call rotation
- Proven track record of excellent customer service
- Techincal skills must include basic tools and be able to pass basic maintenance test
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid instate driver’s license
- This is a full-time position that consists of emergency on-call commitment. Overtime commitment in the Summer/Fall turn season.
