Maintenance Technician in Port Orange, FL

About the role

The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Port Orange, which offers a beautiful river district, lush botanical gardens, and a growing seaside community. It is home to Rose Bay, the Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens, and Spruce Creek Recreational Park. Port Orange is one of the top 5 most affordable waterfront cities in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards.
• Expert at troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, and making solutions with a customer service attitude.
• Could include but are not limited to repairs in areas such as HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.

Qualifications

• Universal EPA certification is a plus!
• Experience as a maintenance technician for at least 1 year preferred
• Strong work ethic and an eager-to-learn attitude
• Aptitude for apartment housing experience
• Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing & HVAC
• Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented to complete work orders
• Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights/weekends and emergency-on-call rotation
• Proven track record of excellent customer service
• Techincal skills to pass basic maintenance test
• Basic tools and reliable transportation
