About the role
Maintains general maintenance duties, under guidance of preventive maintenance and work orders. Oversees and mentors Maintenance Laborers.
Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
- Documents and keeps records of assigned maintenance functions.
- Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
- Performs general maintenance duties, including diagnosing and repairing major system breakdowns.
- Performs preventive maintenance on locks and locking devices.
- Installs and repairs carpet and vinyl flooring.
- Performs electrical repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on motors, panels, and electrical equipment.
- Replaces burned out light bulbs, checks electrical circuits, repairs dimmers, refrigeration controls, and contacts.
- Carries out carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks, including fabricating office partitions, doors, counters, panel walls, and ceilings.
- Installs, connects, and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, hydraulics, refrigeration, various gas, steam, and other pressure systems.
- Handles regular preventive maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, operates Energy Management systems, ensures safe, efficient operation of boilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers, and emergency generators.
- Repairs and maintains all industrial kitchen equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Arizona Drivers license with MVR meeting company vehicle authorization requirements.
- Journeyman in 1 or more trades with 5 or more years work experience.
- Certificate or vocational education diploma.
- EPA Universal Tech certification.
- Certificate or license as a refrigeration technician.
- Five (5) years experience in low temp repair and maintenance.
- Five (5) years field experience in ice machine repair and maintenance.
- Five (5) years experience in electrical control troubleshooting and repair.
Qualifications

- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Additional Requirements for Tech III/HVAC Technician
- EPA Universal Tech certification.
- Certificate or license as a refrigeration technician.
- Five (5) years experience in low temp repair and maintenance.
- Five (5) years field experience in ice machine repair and maintenance.
- Five (5) years experience in electrical control troubleshooting and repair.
- General working knowledge of chiller/cooling tower AC systems.
