Position Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment at Yesway and Allsup’s locations.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in general maintenance functions including, but not limited to: light electrical, light carpentry, plumbing, HVAC\R and foodservice\beverage equipment.
- Facilitates and inspects work performed by 3rd party vendors.
- Ensures a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Accurately maintains inventory and tools on company provided vehicle.
- Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently manage, track, and close work orders, update asset records, and monitor repair history.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensures each job is completed in a quality, cost-effective, and timely manner with exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED preferred and three to five years’ experience in the maintenance field.
- Experience or training in one of the following fields: HVAC\R, Plumbing, Electrical, or Foodservice\Beverage repair.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment, work in confined spaces, able to use hand/electric cart, able to use power and hand tools, required crouching and/or crawling, and able to use a ladder.
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities and ability to work independently.
- Able to have a valid driver’s license and be insurable as a driver.
- Able to obtain EPA 608 Type I & II certifications OR EPA 608 Universal HVAC certification within a timeframe designated by management.
