About the role

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work requests and assigned preventative maintenance work orders as assigned by supervisor such as, but not limited to auto/small engine mechanics, carpentry, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, emergency generators, low voltage applications, swimming pools, fire alarms, valves, fixtures, locks in accordance with campus procedures and industry acceptable standards.
  • Inspire and ensure safety, well-being and comfort of residents and employees through inspections of facilities, systems and their components.
  • Maintain tools and/or equipment for ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Perform general labor and responsibility for event set-ups, deliveries and moves.
  • Troubleshoot building and equipment issues as they arise.
  • Willingness to learn and expand trade knowledge of maintenance and facilities.
  • Availability to be included in the on-call schedule.

Requirements

  • Required Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certificate(s): Valid Driver’s License and Certifications in applicable field
  • Required Work Experience: 1+ years of related work experience

Qualifications

  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools and small power tools and other power tools.

Skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot building and equipment issues.
  • Willingness to learn and expand trade knowledge of maintenance and facilities.

Compensation Pay Range: $19.13 - $25.43 per hour
