Maintenance Technician II at Wesley Willows, Rockford, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic electrical repairs (GFI, outlets, switches, troubleshooting)
  • Complete basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains, troubleshooting)
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems (filters, thermostats, belts)
  • Conduct minor drywall repairs
  • Perform basic carpentry work (door fitting and replacement)
  • Handle garbage and linen runs as needed
  • Carry out all Maintenance Level I functions
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • Respond to resident concerns promptly and communicate issues to supervisor
  • Aid with special projects and assignments as directed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean MVR
  • Minimum of five years experience in building maintenance with an emphasis on carpentry, painting, electrical wiring and plumbing
  • Knowledge of heating and cooling systems
  • Ability to anticipate and/or troubleshoot problems
  • General knowledge of simple equipment used in the building trades
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role

Pay

$19.00 per hour, with credit given for experience.

Schedule

Full-time Day shift, 7:00am-3:30pm. Wednesday-Sunday, Weekends required.
