About the role
The Maintenance Technician II will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, facility systems, and related machinery in a fast-paced bakery manufacturing environment. This role supports preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment uptime, safety, GMP compliance, and daily production needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on bakery production equipment, facility systems, and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment issues to reduce downtime.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and complete work orders through the maintenance management system.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, electrical diagrams, and equipment documentation.
- Follow all safety, LOTO, PPE, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Operate or obtain certification to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered industrial equipment as needed.
- Partner with production, sanitation, and safety teams to support maintenance priorities and production goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated production systems.
- Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, motors, conveyors, production equipment, and facility support systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment repair, documentation, and work order systems.
- Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and safety mindset.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and reach overhead as needed.
- Ability to use tools and equipment safely and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
Manufacturing bakery environment with exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variation, and moving equipment. Regular standing, walking, and time on the production floor are required.
Schedule
- Tuesday–Friday, 4:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
Pay
Starting pay: $27.00 per hour, with growth opportunity based on demonstrated traction and performance.
