Maintenance Technician II

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, all while upholding our high standards for quality and safety. Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct advanced routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as needed.
• Inspect property and address maintenance concerns proactively.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Affordable housing experience is a plus.
• Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company’s standards.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $26.00–$27.50 per hour. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay. The range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on candidate qualifications, geographical location, and specific responsibilities. Eligible for annual performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
