12-month contract with a medical device client in Grand Rapids, MI; potential for extension. W2 contract, no PTO, no benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

$30.00/hr

Schedule

3rd Shift role with training on 1st shift for the first 2-3 weeks, then transition to 3rd shift.
1st shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm
3rd shift: 10:30pm - 6:30am

Responsibilities

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred, though not required; high school diploma required.
  • 2+ years of experience performing maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing, production, or industrial equipment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and equipment manuals to diagnose and repair equipment failures.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment, with the ability to independently perform preventative/corrective maintenance and accurately document repairs and maintenance activities.
