Maintenance Technician II

About the role

A mid-level Maintenance Technician II position at Reserve at Barry apartments in Kansas City, MO. You’ll lead repairs, preventive maintenance, and building operations to create safe, high-quality living environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry
• Lead unit turns, preventive maintenance, and common area upkeep
• Support pool maintenance and safety protocols (CPO preferred)
• Maintain tools, supplies, and grounds to PRG standards
• Handle emergency on-call rotations as scheduled
• Diagnose and troubleshoot building systems
• Track inventory and escalate major repair needs

Requirements

• 2+ years of general or apartment maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• CPO and EPA Universal certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs. and work on-call as needed
• Valid driver’s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable working independently and mentoring others
