Responsibilities
- Works on various facility related issues, ensuring maintenance work is completed in a timely manner.
- Work with contracting vendors related to building maintenance in emergency situations or when the need dictates.
- Work with vendors on all regularly scheduled maintenance and annual inspections on Partnership equipment, specifically the Fire Suppression System, Building Generator, and UPS system.
- Help ensure the facility is safe, clean, and within Cal-OSHA requirements.
- Perform the installation of light bulbs, doors, cabinets, bulletin boards, etc.
- Perform the installation of work stations as well as install periphery equipment such as file cabinets, monitor arms, and hard desk installs.
- Perform touch up paint to interior and exterior walls, cabinets; hang pictures, assemble furniture, troubleshoot plumbing issues and other minor building issues and perform installation of new parts and/or various fixtures.
- May escort vendors within Partnership building spaces to ensure privacy and confidentiality rules are maintained as it relates to PHI within the building.
- Work with Facilities personnel as directed on major departmental moves, both internal and external.
- Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment.
- Understand blue prints and use them when needed with associated vendors.
- Maintain spare parts inventories as necessary to increase efficiencies.
- Perform routine safety checks throughout the facility and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate facility maintenance documentation through the iOffice Software portal.
- Manage inventory control on related equipment, such as light bulbs, batteries, etc.
- Avoid any safety/security issues pertaining to the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three (3) to four years of experience in building maintenance, electrical, carpentry, or construction.
- Hold a valid contractor’s license in construction or facilities related field; or have equivalent on-the-job experience in the above fields.
- Working knowledge of MS Windows, able to type 35 WPM, and ability to use general office business machines and perform maintenance as needed.
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of ergonomics and/or ergonomics certification preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with Partnership policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business.
