Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mechanical safety advocate for all surrounding colleagues.
• Troubleshoot intermediate mechanical and minor electrical issues.
• Read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Navigate all HMIs and change machine set points.
• Perform all line and product changeovers in assigned building.
• Bring all lines back to a run-ready state in assigned building.
• Lead other junior technicians with line changeovers.
• Mentor and guide all set-up and apprentice technicians.
• Complete assigned equipment PMs on time without assistance.
• Plan and execute minor line improvements and modifications.
• Escalate downtime of more than 15 minutes to MTL.
• Listen and learn from more seasoned technicians.
• Perform in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
• Take lead during line set-ups.
• Initiate and execute small projects.

Requirements

• 2 – 3 years manufacturing experience.
• 2 – 3 years multi-craft maintenance experience.
• Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical systems.
• Basic ability to use all hand and shop tools properly.
• Open-minded with an unfailing safety attitude and adherence.
• Ability to properly escalate downtime and other issues.
