Maintenance Technician II

About the role
As a mid-level Maintenance Technician II, you will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain all production and production support equipment, including presses, cartoning, tubing, pouching, stick machines, wrappers, labelers, and accessories. This role is critical to ensuring 100% compliance with Ourvita processes and maintaining operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own 100% compliance to Ourvita processes for assigned line, including:
- EHS regulations and best practices
- Redzone downtime tracking, activities, logs, chats, etc.
- Centerlines, CIL’s, PM’s, OPL’s, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Shop and work area 5S and cleanliness standards
- Perform all assigned preventive maintenance (PM’s) and corrective work orders
- Record all time spent on work orders accurately and document notes/comments
- Follow the Maintenance Planning Process and use CMMS to create work orders
- Understand storeroom layout and parts checkout process
- Drive problem-solving using RCA tools, accurate data, and a sense of urgency
- Support Line Focus Teams, including projects, activities, huddles, and root cause initiatives
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain safe work practices
- Assist in providing a positive work environment and show respect for all co-workers
- Participate in Maintenance huddles in Redzone
- Backfill necessary operator positions during uncovered absences or breaks
- Communicate effectively and collaborate across shifts
- Take ownership of asset maintenance through optimizing PM’s and involvement in FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ processes
- Escalate line downtime quickly and provide input on department updates
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Stop unsafe acts, report hazards, and support safety policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) year college or technical school graduate and three (3) years’ experience in industrial manufacturing, or five (5) years of related field experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment (preferably dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing)
Skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of a team
- Capability to learn and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic processes
- Experience using CMMS to document work
- Ability to read and interpret machine drawings and electrical schematics
- Problem-solving skills for high-speed equipment
- Basic fabrication, welding, milling, and lathe skills
- Basic understanding of PLC systems
- Experience or ability to learn the following tools: pallet jack, forklift, calculator, hand tools, power tools, computer, iPad

Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM
