Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and isolates equipment problems (mechanical and electrical).
- Implements repairs while minimizing impact to production.
- Establishes and adheres to preventive maintenance schedule using web based preventative maintenance software.
- Documents all maintenance and repair activities.
- Establish and maintain a spare parts inventory.
- Support for non-routine work hours.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of the plant equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in installing and maintaining plant floor mechanical and electrical systems.
- Mechanical and electrical systems installation and maintenance experience highly desirable.
- Expertise with biotechnology operations including fermentation and CIP/SIP is preferred.
- Manufacturing, fermentation or chemical product operations experience highly desirable.
- Majority of work is conducted in a fermentation production facility and includes frequent exposure to wet, humid, dusty, and noisy conditions.
- Work includes lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, walking, as well as occasional scooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- May be exposed to airborne particles and chemicals used in fermentation production facilities.
- Mandated use of company-issued uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adherence to all company safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
