About the role
We are seeking a highly-motivated, self-starter for our maintenance department within a renowned and rapidly growing Property Management Team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the apartment community
- Perform various duties including general building maintenance, custodial, and grounds work
- Manage all aspects of property maintenance such as physical grounds, preventive, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance
- Assist with tasks related to carpentry, painting, refurbishing, plumbing, electricity, appliances, make-readies, and some A/C experience
Requirements
- Basic understanding and knowledge of general maintenance
- Own basic tools
- Weekends, On-Call & OT availability
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Write simple notes and fill out Maintenance Service Requests
- Communicate effectively with residents and other employees
- Team player
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
- Write legibly and clearly
- Communicate with residents and other employees
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in property management or similar field preferred
