About the role
The Maintenance Technician II will perform advanced tasks related to production machines, including troubleshooting and repairs with minimal supervision. This role involves analyzing equipment, developing daily goals and strategies, and ensuring all equipment operates effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Work efficiently with the work order system (EAM) to document repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the plant.
- Perform regular inspections and repairs on production equipment; assist in machine repairs and train others on proper repair techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
- Set up new equipment; troubleshoot using specialty tools and make decisions on effective repair methods.
- Interpret blueprints and part drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
- Apply basic machinist skills using a vertical mill and lathe.
- Demonstrate understanding of welding and fabrication techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status and submit end-of-shift reports.
- Promote a culture of safety and integrity by consistently following all safety protocols, reporting hazards, and engaging in training and initiatives.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in a related technical field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years of related maintenance experience and/or technical training.
- Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills; machining experience with mill and lathe preferred.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management software and the Microsoft Software Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Schedule
Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (overtime on Fridays as needed).
Pay
Starting at $27/hour, based on experience.
