Duties
- Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair, making notes and recommendations.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Basic electrical work such as running electrical wiring, setting store timers, moving lighting, installing outlets, and replacing ballasts for store lighting.
- Record type, cost, and time of maintenance or repair work.
- Secure project materials either by visiting retail location or via online ordering as directed.
- Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular office fixtures and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
- Perform seasonal grounds maintenance such as lawncare and snow removal from time to time when needed to supplement contracted vendors.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 4 years of experience and skills in more than 1 allied trade areas and/or in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repair, etc.
- OR Trade School Degree or Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience in more than 1 allied trade areas and/or in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repair, etc.
Required
- Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Required designated on call responsibilities.
External Hiring Range
$22.00 up to 24.00/hour
Retention Incentive
$1000 retention incentive after 6 months of employment
Schedule
Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) flexible schedule, can vary depending on department needs.
