Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform, but not limited to, the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC for the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, equipment, and other facilities.
  • Provide preventative maintenance to equipment, buildings, and grounds in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment, buildings, and grounds while managing other tasks on the schedule.
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors to complete repairs or maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Coordinate with Vendor Management for updating vendor information.
  • Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ten years of experience with general maintenance
  • Strong aptitude and working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and security systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of safety techniques related to working with hand tools, operating equipment, and exposure to chemicals
  • Ability to use tools and equipment associated with the skills listed above
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • CDL is preferred or be willing to receive one
