Maintenance Technician II

About the role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the property’s facilities, systems, and equipment to ensure a safe and fully functional environment for our guests. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and proactive approach are essential in preserving a safe, efficient, and welcoming property experience. Reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Ensure the overall maintenance of the facility
- Respond to guest room calls for general maintenance issues
- Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns, and calls for medical assistance
- Perform light plumbing, electrical, and guest door lock repair
- Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
- Maintain all actions in Daily Activity Maintenance logs
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Maintenance role required
- Must have electrical, plumbing, and basic maintenance skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Grooming Guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
Qualifications
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications (helpful but not required)
- Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
