Maintenance Technician II
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and building infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
- Complete work orders and maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Manage HVAC systems, including filter replacement and duct cleaning.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain lighting, wiring, and electrical fixtures.
- Repair plumbing fixtures, leaks, and clogged drains.
- Support repairs and installations to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Perform basic carpentry work including repair of doors, windows, furniture, and building structures.
- Complete painting and finishing projects as needed.
- Support exterior maintenance including landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Inspect, service, and maintain facility machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct safety inspections and address identified hazards.
- Follow applicable building codes, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials and electronic waste.
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communication & Customer Support
- Communicate effectively with managers, team members, and contractors.
- Provide excellent service to building occupants and address maintenance concerns professionally.
- Collaborate across departments to support facility needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in general facility maintenance, building systems, or related technical work.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical documents, schematics, or maintenance instructions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency including email and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using work order systems or CMMS software preferred.
- Ability to use smartphones or tablets for maintenance applications and communication.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Pay
