About the Role

Responsible for maintaining facility-related equipment, production CNC and machining equipment, buildings, parking lots, and property.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the organization’s physical operations, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in maintaining property, including offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through preventive maintenance programs according to specifications.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, buildings, and property as needed, including:
    • CNC lathes, CNC mills, bar feeders, centerless and surface grinding machines, band saws, manual mills and lathes.
    • Air compressors, air dryers, material handling equipment, electrostatic filters, hoists.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks for machines, such as coolant, oil, and filter changes, electrical inspections, and calibrations.
  • Troubleshoot low-voltage electrical controls and logic controllers.
  • Complete daily Standard Work task lists and event reports.
  • Interface with staff/managers to implement maintenance needs and ensure timely response to requests.
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels.
  • Assist in fire and safety inspections, correct discrepancies, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
  • Maintain waste disposal systems, including hazardous waste such as acetone, mineral spirits, or solvents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, job-specific training, and equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing, machining, tool & die environment.
  • PLC, CNC, and machine manufacturer-specific training.
  • Fanuc & Mitsubishi logic knowledge.
  • Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance skills.
  • Must have own tools, including electrical meters, gages, calipers, etc.
  • Familiarity with city and state building codes and OSHA requirements.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of various teams.
  • Familiarity with “Maintenance Connection” CMMS software.
  • Strong sense of urgency and interpersonal skills.
  • Good judgment and ability to make timely, sound decisions.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Ability to understand safety requirements and perform physical labor as necessary.
  • Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Use of ladders and scaffolds.
  • Work with parts of various sizes and weights.
  • Repetitive shoulder/arm/hand motion.
  • Move furniture, materials, and equipment.

Work Environment

  • Most work time is spent in a warehouse environment with temperature control (heated/air-conditioned) depending on the season; noise level can be moderate to high.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions year-round.
  • Handling of small amounts of general and hazardous waste, including solvents, acetones, mineral spirits, hydraulic oil, mixed water/cleaning solutions, and general cleaning agents such as soaps and detergents.
  • Handling of non-hazardous materials such as cutting oils, coolants, grease, and water.

Pay

Hourly Rate Range: $24–$34. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
