Maintenance Technician II

About the role

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for executing maintenance requests, diagnosing problems, and making repairs to ensure the physical condition of the community is maintained. This includes tasks such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliance, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features, and waste management systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems in various areas of maintenance.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs in accordance with company standards and in a timely manner.
• Ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Perform turnkey work as required.
• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Assist in painting both interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures.
• Perform hot works including brazing, soldering, and welding.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in maintenance work, including knowledge of HVAC repair, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance repair work.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to accommodate an on-call schedule.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates and residents.
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and their operation.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of paint types and tools.
• Ability to read and understand Hazard Communication Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and their proper applications.
• Ability to identify cleaning and chemical supplies.

Pay

Total Base Pay Range: $52,500.00 - $74,000.00
