Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routing to skilled general preventative maintenance duties to include repairing, altering and modifying building, equipment and systems.

• Determines type and extent of malfunctions of equipment and, as necessary, adjusts, disassembles, repairs or replaces parts or components then reassembles and tests for proper operation.
• Maintains gas fire steam boilers and makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper steam pressure, combustion, water flow, water level and proper operation of safety devices.
• Assists with the preventative maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance to kitchen equipment, boiler room equipment, etc. to include complete all maintenance records of equipment.
• Maintains all gases to facility such as oxygen, nitrogen and vacuum systems needed for daily operation of the hospital.
• Assists with performing preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned/required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 – 2 years of general maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of general mechanics, electrical and plumbing codes.
• Driver’s License Required.
