We design and manufacture the most comprehensive lineup of large diesel and natural gas engines in the industry, as well as engine components and powertrains.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Hodges, SC facility. The Maintenance Technician will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can complete preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive maintenance: analyze and effect improvements on facilities based on observations made during preventive maintenance; participate in regularly scheduled maintenance stops.
  • Carry out corrective maintenance: analyze malfunctions, propose and implement the best solution. After repairs, inform supervisors and/or production about equipment availability and document the incident in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Assist maintenance agents and external companies with on-site interventions, as directed by supervisor.
  • Locate technical information and contact external suppliers directly.
  • Support the smooth functioning of the spare parts storeroom.
  • Use manual, electrical, and pneumatic tools for repairs and diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a maintenance, mechanical, or electrical position (preferably in a heavy industrial environment).
  • Knowledge and application of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform activities to meet regulatory safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a relevant program (preferred).
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and facilities equipment (pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, conveyor, HVAC systems, fire systems, etc.).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (110-480VAC and 0-36VDC), PLCs, controls, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gas systems (considered a plus).
  • Experience working in a foundry (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ACAD, E-drawing, QAD, and Llumin (preferred).

Schedule

3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. This position is eligible for a $1.50 hourly night shift premium.

Pay

Summary pay range: $28.12 - $35.74 per hour. Compensation and benefits may vary depending on job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
