Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies, work practices, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Carry out verbal and written instructions from the Maintenance Foreman or Supervisor.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using diagrams, manuals, engineering specifications, and manufacturer instructions.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and provide recommendations for improvements when needed.
- Communicate maintenance schedules and equipment downtime requirements with production personnel.
- Identify equipment issues through observation, inspection, and operational testing.
- Prepare maintenance reports and document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment trends.
- Assist with the installation, startup, and support of new production equipment and related infrastructure.
- Read, understand, and execute work instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance equipment reliability, safety, and productivity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical college degree or related technical training preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Average proficiency in mathematics.
- Good visual acuity.
