Maintenance Technician I (Part Time) - $22.00/hour

About the role

The Maintenance Technician performs unskilled and/or semi-skilled routine manual labor in maintenance and repair of Black Hawk facilities, equipment and grounds. Under supervision, you will learn to perform assigned activities with detailed instructions as to specific procedures to be followed.

Responsibilities

• Make routine plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains and repairing faucets
• Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets
• Conduct painting, drywall patching, and carpentry work
• Maintain grounds by mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, and removing snow
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and change filters
• Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests
• Assist with facility setup for events and meetings
• Operate power tools and equipment safely
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials
• Document completed work and report unresolved issues to supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Willingness to learn new maintenance skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be available for on-call rotation and overtime as needed

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or construction experience preferred but not required
• Experience with building management systems is a plus
• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work desirable
