Maintenance Technician I (CG Hill Park)

About the role

The Maintenance Tech I position at Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is a part-time role primarily responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning restrooms, parking lots, blowing, litter/limb pickup, sweeping, mopping, weed-eating, trash removal, mulching, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, and emptying trash cans.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning restrooms and parking lots
• Blowing, litter/limb pickup, sweeping, mopping, weed-eating, trash removal, mulching, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, and emptying trash cans
• Work independently and with limited supervision
• Regularly interact with the public and use a variety of equipment including tractors, blowers, and handheld power tools

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or GED
• One year experience in basic building or grounds maintenance
• A valid driver's license is required

• Maintain order and ensure compliance with rules
• Operate and care for power equipment and hand tools

Skills

Schedule

• March - November: Sunday-Wednesday 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
• November - February: Sunday-Wednesday 5 hours per day
