Maintenance Technician I

About the role

The Maintenance Technician, I performs minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and special projects in villas, cottages, and common areas while maintaining a hospitality-focused approach.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, plus every other weekend.

Pay

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep maintenance shop clean, orderly, and neat.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition daily.
• Prioritize and respond to work order requests and radio calls promptly.
• Perform minor repairs (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry), paint, install fixtures, and conduct routine preventative maintenance.
• Treat all members, residents, and guests with courtesy and respect.
• Assist with special projects, fire alarms, drills, and cross-training in other Plant Operations areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Skilled in using tools for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical work.
• One to four years of experience in all maintenance areas.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and work well in a team.
• Compassionate, respectful, and tolerant when interacting with residents, families, peers, and contractors.
