About the role

A Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of repair tasks around the facility to keep it safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance to regularly inspect equipment and facilities to avoid breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and fix equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct general repairs, including replacing worn parts, fixing structural damage (windows, doors, or walls), repairing broken or leaking plumbing, and replacing fixtures.
  • Maintain and repair general electrical and HVAC systems.
  • Paint the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.
  • Install new equipment, systems, and furniture as needed.
  • Perform general janitorial and groundskeeping duties to maintain facilities and grounds.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for significant repairs and new facility build-outs.
  • Ensure a safe environment by following protocols, recording maintenance activities, and fixing potential safety hazards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, groundskeeping, and facility systems, along with experience using diagnostic equipment and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • 1–2 years of related experience or completion of a related apprenticeship program.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and customer service abilities.
  • Capability to lift up to 100 lbs, work in tight spaces, walk and stand for long periods, bend/stoop, reach overhead, and climb stairs/ladders.
  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
  • Flexibility to travel across different locations in and around the Dallas and Fort-Worth area.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strategic, adaptable, and collaborative problem-solver who fosters a positive team environment.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese, or Rohingya are an added advantage.
