Maintenance Technician I
About the role
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED with minimum skill requirements. Minimum experience includes two (2) years of FedEx Operations Sortation equipment knowledge or currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program for Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or related disciplines. Related military technical experience and electrical/mechanical trade experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Solve basic mechanical and electrical problems
- Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues
- Communicate effectively within the department
- Use hand and power tools
- Work in various temperature conditions
- Follow detailed instructions and use software applications
- Manage time and organize tasks
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic electrical and mechanical skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include pay transparency ($21.37 - $40.35/hr), knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other web-based applications, and experience with hand and power tools.

Benefits
Full-time position available across three levels of Maintenance Technician positions (1 through 4, based on experience level). Compensation range is $21.37 - $40.35/hr. Additional details on benefits can be found here.
