Danfoss in Shawnee, Oklahoma is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday).

About the role

The Maintenance Technician provides support to Plant Operations in repairing and maintaining production equipment throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems to the faulty component under the instruction of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment under the instruction of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Analyze machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system components of production equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools following all safety rules, including PPE and OSHA.
  • Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned.
  • Complete all required reporting and documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical or electronic systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic/hydraulic drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, levels, and lasers is a plus.
  • Physically capable of prolonged standing and working in positions that require bending and stretching while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
