About the role
The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and perform minor building repairs. The candidate will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices, report noncompliance, observe all company safety rules, and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment setup, operation, tests, calibrations, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
- Maintain production machines and equipment, clean equipment, and ensure work floors are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Assemble and test all components to ensure equipment is safe and in working order before production use.
- Follow oral or written instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Sound understanding of electrical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment.
- Ability to use various power and hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
Schedule
Weekday 1st shift: Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
Pay
$25 per hour + $1.50 shift differential.
