About the Role

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility. Assist Operators with minor maintenance issues to consistently obtain standard operating efficiency of systems and minimize downtime. Demonstrate operation of and test equipment, analyze malfunctions, and correct problems. Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, tests, and standard setting processes. Communicate equipment problems beyond your abilities to the support group. Accountable for following processes during purchasing, usage, and/or recording of consumables. Assist Level 2 and Level 3 technicians in repairs, equipment upgrades, or plant upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Assist operators with minor maintenance issues and replace broken or damaged items in a timely manner.
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and audits.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance and other duties as assigned.
  • Review, interpret, and understand performance data to identify and implement performance improvement activities.
  • Perform maintenance best practices.
  • Lead and/or assist with local Engineering upgrades and projects.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical reasoning skills and conscientiousness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Windows-based PC applications.
  • Working knowledge of lock-out/tag-out and hot work permit procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical and/or Electronic courses (preferred).

Communication & Contacts

  • Converse with equipment operators to ascertain whether mechanical or human error contributed to equipment breakdown.
  • Continuous communication with Team Leaders or Managers to update status and align equipment priorities.
  • Communication with suppliers, customers (internal and external), and corporate engineering as required.

Decision Making

Judgment and decision-making required daily concerning machine downtime and troubleshooting.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties.
  • Perform physical labor, including prolonged walking, standing, lifting up to 40 lbs. regularly, stooping, bending, and ladder climbing.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Pay

Hourly pay: $23+/hr (DOE) + $0.50/hr incentive eligible after 90 days.

Schedule

Day Shift, 12-hour shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, rotating weekends.

Paid breaks and lunch.
