Maintenance Technician/HVAC

For over 100 years, WhiteStone has been more than just a workplace—we're a vibrant senior living community where residents feel at home and employees make a real difference every day. We're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic I who can help keep our campus safe, comfortable, and running at its best.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, appliances, and other building systems.
- Responding to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls with professionalism and urgency.
- Aiding with HVAC equipment resets and basic repairs to keep residents comfortable year-round.
- Completing work orders accurately and efficiently while documenting completed repairs.
- Participating in special projects and campus improvements.
- Helping maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed to get the job done.
- Working alongside fellow maintenance team members on special projects and campus improvements.
- Participating in scheduled on-call rotations and responding when needed.
- Contributing to a beautiful, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Experience in general building maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or commercial maintenance.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, flooring, appliances, and HVAC.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A team player who enjoys helping others.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of maintenance, facilities, apartment, or construction-related experience preferred.
- HVAC experience or knowledge strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Walking, climbing ladders, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the day.
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Exposure to maintenance-related materials, tools, and equipment.
