Maintenance Technician (Full Time)

About the role

A Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting our 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation. This position ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex, high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex, high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process.
• Supports the 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation.
• Works in a heavy industrial environment.
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment.
• Assists in troubleshooting and resolving issues with mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Requirements

• Two years’ education/experience in one of the following areas: Industrial Electricity, Welding/Fabrication, Machine shop experience, Mechanical experience - related to Industrial environment.
• Industrial Electrical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years’ maintenance experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Passes a pre-employment physical ability test.
• Passes a background and drug screen.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience in Industrial Electricity preferred.

Pay

Schedule

This position's primary schedule is a 12-hour ROTATING shift, working 3 or 4 shifts/week. This schedule provides every other weekend off, only working half the days of the year.
