About the role
A Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting our 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation. This position ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex, high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex, high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process.
- Supports the 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation.
- Works in a heavy industrial environment.
- Responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving issues with mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Requirements
- Two years’ education/experience in one of the following areas: Industrial Electricity, Welding/Fabrication, Machine shop experience, Mechanical experience - related to Industrial environment.
- Industrial Electrical experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years’ maintenance experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Desire to work in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Passes a pre-employment physical ability test.
- Passes a background and drug screen.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments.
- Experience in Industrial Electricity preferred.

Pay

Schedule
This position's primary schedule is a 12-hour ROTATING shift, working 3 or 4 shifts/week. This schedule provides every other weekend off, only working half the days of the year.
