Maintenance Technician - Experienced
About the role
Pratt Miller is a product development company in motorsports, defense, and mobility industries. We provide clients with product engineering and low-volume production solutions through our research & development, engineering, prototype manufacturing, test & validation, and low-rate production capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of building systems and facility equipment.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout facility work areas.
- Afford support for facility setup and teardown activities for company meetings and employee events.
- Respond to emergency maintenance repairs and respond to facility issues as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment.
- Broad knowledge of commercial and industrial facility maintenance practices.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as Eptura Asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.

Education/Certification/Years of Experience
A High School Diploma or recognized equivalent required. Minimum of ten (10) years of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment required.
Physical Demands
Moderate physical demands with regular deadlines and changing priorities. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Frequently stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, bend, and work in confined spaces. Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Regular exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures. Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing assigned duties.
Work Environment
Work is performed throughout office, manufacturing, laboratory, and shop environments. This position requires frequent movement between indoor and outdoor work areas and involves exposure to mechanical equipment, varying environmental conditions, and active production operations. The Maintenance Technician works both independently and collaboratively to ensure Pratt Miller facilities remain safe, reliable, and operational while supporting employees across the organization.
Schedule
Core work schedule is based on operational requirements. Overtime, evenings, weekends, and emergency call-in support may be required to maintain facility operations and respond to urgent maintenance needs. Schedule flexibility is required to support business and facility demands.
