We also offer a $1500 sign on bonus, on-call pay of $150/week, and an additional $150 per holiday on-call. Our quarterly bonus can be up to $980 based on property and team performance.
Pay
Our Maintenance Technicians are paid $24/hour, with the potential for more depending on experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, working Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week). You will also participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team.
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments
- Assist with apartment turns and make-readies
- Troubleshoot, repair and install HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and carpentry items
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing HVAC systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems
- A strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
- A reliable team player with a comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks
Physical & Technical Requirements
You should also:
- Have reliable transportation
- Be comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
- Be able to drive a golf cart
- Be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
- Be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Have experience using hand and power tools
- Be willing to undergo a background check
